It’s almost graduation time and with all the excitement of shipping our youngest off to college I thought it would be fun to add a few vintage postcards featuring our family’s colleges to our postcard collection. As I was wrapping up this project it dawned on me that this would be such a unique and thoughtful graduation gift, or just a fun way to commemorate your family history.

The good news is that there are thousands of vintage postcards on eBay, most of them are used, which adds such an interesting historical element to the project. You will have no trouble finding your colleges and universities.

I just love these white-on-white frames from Amazon and have been using them in a variety of sizes and colors for my vintage postcards. What I love about them is that the 5×7 frame is adjustable with matting for postcards that are 3×5, 4×6, etc. I simply tape my postcard to the back of the matting and voila. And, I hang these the lazy way with velcro command strips. 😉
